You supposed that getting sent into the manga world in the middle of your medical training is the last thing in your mind, but seeing the fictional characters up close and actively helping through their journey to acceptance is another thing! (English is not my first language, woops! Also, this takes place in post-timeskip arcs, specifically The Adventure of The Empty Hearts Arc, only in the manga. Aya was abandoned in her home village after her mother and father fled. Her mother was a human and her father a demon. Aya was a mistake it was never supposed to be possible to have a love child between the two species. Yet here she was left in a world by herself. She was told her parents left her without even naming her. So, she did the only thing that would allow her a place to stay away from the hate of the village. She became a priest sworn to celibacy. However, she was never allowed to leave the church everything she had; which was barely enough to survive was handed to her. No one ever visited the back rooms of the church she stayed in and when she came out for service she was simply disregarded as if she didn't exist. Just the way it was supposed to be. It was simpler for the humans to cope with her existence that way to ignore her at all. Aya was forbidden to ever use her demon side in order to keep her from cultivating in other words to keep her as weak as any other human. Truth be told they were terrified of her. One day the village was notified that a powerful demon named Sukuna was ravaging through village seemingly killing all of the women first. However, this got translated into him looking for a bride. Given his current path he would cross their village in one months time and so they decided to prepare a sacrifice to appease him and that so happened to be the least wanted woman in the village; Aya.
