Alternative universe - canon divergence We follow the story of Wei Wuxian in alternative universe, where Lan Wangji actualy did what he wanted in the library pavilon. Or in other words - what would happen if Lan Wangji really did force Wei Wuxian that time in the library? Everyone were doing there stuffs when suddenly they teleported to somewhere else. Not only are they watching their the past but their eyes widen when they saw the people who are they going to watch the past with A past with the past!!! The characters don't belong to me. It's a fanfic of the original novel mo dao zu shi. Only plot belongs to me. I've read too many fics like this so if I accidentally write something similar to them then I'm very sorry for it. Lan Zhan's interest in the historical figure shapes his career path, and he becomes the go-to expert for anything related to the man who supposedly went against all the cultivation clans in his attempt to save a handful of Wen Remnants. Then, an accidental landslide in Yiling, high up in the Burial Mounds, uncovers a strange artefact, and Lan Zhan is called in to offer help. But little does he know that this pursuit of the truth behind the Yiling Laozu is what will change his life forever...and what is worse, is that there's a powerful curse in place, engraved on the mysterious artefact.

What if the night LAN Zhan had first asked Wei Ying to come to Gusu with him he had actually not allowed the misunderstanding to happen? This is my idea of what could have happened. (Fixed the timeline issues to be a bit more realistic though not sure if I am still a bit off.)

Wei Ying end up at Tanzhou town, there he met Lan Xichen, Lan Zhan and their disciple. "Yo, isn't the Lan disciple." Will Lan Zhan be able to recognize Wei Ying again or will the two of them live a life distance from one another? This is a relax, soft, romance story between Lan Zhan and Wei Ying. This is a journey where Lan Zhan begin to remember Wei Ying one at a time.
