Frank is the new kid at school. He has moved with his mother in an attempt to escape his past, and his father. Gerard is the kid no one talks to. But he likes it that way. Gerard Way is a stuttering, new kid in a new big school who suffers from a number of difficulties, not to mention his tendancy to wear girls clothing. He has never been to a public school since he was 10 years old and struggles to adjust to his new, intimidating environment. Cool kid Frank Iero has to show him around and befriend him. He is very popular and loves to boast about his many relationships he's been in. He dosent really care about other people and their feelings. When these two very different boys fall in love, will Gerards health cause problems between them?

"I'm not gay. I'm not gay." Gerard has been telling himself that he wasn't gay for as long as he can remember. He doesn't want what the bullies say to be true. However, when new student, Frank Iero, comes to town, Gerard's world is turned upside down. Frank promises to look after Gerard but it's a harder job than he had anticipated.

Frank was always the quiet kid. He got into fights when he shouldn't have, and he didn't often do his homework, and he had a habit of being late to class, but he was somehow still...the quiet one. Yet the teachers were still fond of him, and they took a shine to the kid that got on their nerves. But then he has to leave them behind, and start a whole new school, where his fights, his lateness and his lack of homework aren't as accepted. Even when he befriends the nerdy musical kid who has a crush on their music teacher - but knows that nothing will happen because it's very much illegal - things still seem to go wrong. Sequel to Devil's Work so go read that first ;) Frank is struggling to keep afloat. He thought that when he turned Eighteen he'd be able to run off into the sunset, but as his birthday approaches he's beginning to realise that one more year changes nothing. He's still been disowned by any family he's ever know, he's still keeping secrets from his friends that are big enough to destroy their friendships, and he's still involved with his local priest. Add into the mix a gang of thugs, graffiti and an inappropriate collar fixation, and welcome to the life of one particularly screwed up teenager.

Highschool is a living hell. At least that's Gerard's opinion because he can't pass the hallways without being shoved against lockers or called a "fag". God, how Gerard hated this word. In his last year of school, he decides to take a risk and starts a school project in which he wants to find out why all of his teachers and classmates hate homosexual people so much. For his project "homophobia is gay" he interviews a few people but decides that this won't be enough. What if he could introduce one of them to his world and show them that it's not bad to be gay? And what if this person was Frank Iero, the guy who has a list of girls he slept with right under his mattress at home, and an abhorrence against the red-headed boy? *Warnings*: bad language, homophobia, smut, abuse

But now he is lost in a world of black, he hates being poked and pushed by doctors and he had given up all hope of ever getting out of the consuming void he finds himself in. But with a new person in his life will he begin to see things a little more brighter, or will he be left broken hearted?
