Depuis la mission avec rui la cinquième lune inférieur, shinobu se pose beaucoup de question sur le comportement de giyu. Pourquoi il ne lui a rien dit sur tanjiro et la démone qui l'accompagne ? Pourquoi le lui a t-elle caché ? Pourquoi il protège un démon alors qu'il les détestes ? Pourquoi il va jusqu'à mettre sa vie en jeux pour un démon ? De son côté aussi giyu se demande pourquoi shinobu dit qu'elle aimerai que les humains et les démons vivent ensemble alors qu'il voit bien qu'elle déteste les démons.
