Hikari is a shy, but adventurous 5-year old girl. She is watched over, cared for and loved by 3 Keyblade wielders; Ventus, Terra and Aqua. However, one day, things go from normal to out of control. Hikari is separated from the people she cares about and finds herself traveling through many worlds. But during her adventure, what will she learn about herself? What will she lose?

Hikari washed ashore on the islands at the age of 6, along with another girl named Kairi. Kairi is adopted by the mayor while Hikari is taken in by Riku's family. Over the next several years, she becomes close with Sora, Riku and Kairi. After the islands are destroyed and the 4 are scattered, Hikari must face many trials to help her friends. During this journey she will discover who she is. But what will be the price?

Sora and Hikari were placed in memory pods to regain their lost memories. Over time, Riku had been fighting to trap the darkness in him and seal it away. After a year has gone by, DiZ discovers horrifying news about the Princess's condition. Will Hikari wake or remain asleep? And if she wakes, will she find the one she loves?

After returning to the islands after a year, Sora and Riku are called to undergo the Mark of Mastery. While Sora and Riku take the exam, Hikari becomes increasingly worried as many strange incidents happen while they are gone. Will the Princess of Kingdom Hearts be able to protect those she cares for and save those she lost? Or will she lose everything?

This is a retelling of the Story of Kingdom Hearts but with new Lore on the Keyblade War, the Heartless and Nobodies, Keyblades in general, the Disney Worlds Multi-Verse, and Kingdom Hearts itself. So forget everything you know about the over-complex story of the original Kingdom Hearts, if the lore of the games is what you loved then you won't find it written the same way here. This is the retold story of Sora and his quest to restore his home, find his friends, and stop the Keyblade Wielders of Darkness form destroying more of multi-verse as the last Keyblade Wielder of Light. The events of the Kingdom Hearts Saga if Sora and Kairi had been born the opposite gender. Soraya is an average tomboyish girl living on the Destiny Islands with her two best friends. Riku, who had been her closest friend her whole life (so close that they were practically siblings), and Kai, a sweet and creative boy who she had a slight crush on. One day, when Soraya was fourteen, her life changed forever when darkness invaded her home, and only she had the power to combat it. Little did she know that she was the prophesied Child of Destiny. ***I've loved Kingdom Hearts for years. I have all three main games. I've seen a couple genderbend fanfictions about it before, which were really good, but I thought I could elaborate more. Only Sora and Kairi are genderbent in this fanfiction. I do realize that Sora is a Japanese unisex name, but I associate it too much with a boy character to use it. Soraya is a Persian name that means "star cluster," which I feel fits perfectly, and Kai is a unisex name that means "sea" in Hawaiian, which also works well. Hana (Japanese pronunciation not Hanna) has always been friends with Lea and Isa. Unlike them, she'd rather spend her time tending to the flowers in Radiant Garden rather than sneaking into the castle owned and operated by Ansem the Wise. Their days were just made of fun and goofing off. That is until about a year after they become friends with a boy named Ventus. After Ventus mysteriously comes and goes, a year passes and Hana finds herself alone in Traverse Town where she encounters Sora searching for his friends. Surrounded by her new friends, Squall and Yuffie, they return to Hollow Bastion to witness it's return to Radiant Garden. It is then that she realizes that she's truly missing something more than just the memories of the missing years of her life. So she sends herself on a journey to find what she's missing. She arrives in Twilight Town and encounters the spiky red haired man named Axel. Follow Hana in her own journey to find her friends and return Lea's heart to his body.

Months after Sora's 'disappearance,' (End of KH3) Riku begins having dreams about a girl trapped in the Realm of Darkness. He asks his friends what it is he should do about it before doing research to find out if she's real or not. When Mickey and Aqua both begin receiving telepathic callings from the girl along with memories of her life, Mickey and Riku decide it's time to dive into the Realm of Darkness in search of her. Once in the Realm of Darkness, Riku makes a better connection and is able to learn that she's been drowning in darkness for many years after the sudden loss to all her friends and family being turned into Heartless and her world being engulfed in darkness. Unable to escape, she managed to make first contact with Riku before he first escaped the Realm of Darkness, pleading with him, to one day return for her when he was strong enough to face away the darkness that she couldn't. Since he's a Keyblade Master, he hopes he is strong enough to be able to find her and return her to the realm of light. The only thing he didn't count on, was falling in love with the girl she used to before falling to darkness, the girl she could one day become again.
