THE POLAROID IN MY POCKET "I'M NOT THE GIRL IN THE PHOTO ANYMORE, MALACHI. SHE DIED IN LONDON." "THEN LET ME MEET THE GIRL WHO CAME BACK. BECAUSE I'VE BEEN HOLDING ONTO THIS FOR TEN YEARS." FREYA SKYE JONES was eight years old when she vanished. no goodbye, no letters, no explanation-just a house left empty and a childhood best friend left with a million unanswered questions. but the move to the uk wasn't the fairytale her parents promised. instead, it was a descent into a nightmare that left her heart scarred and her voice silenced. now, freya is back in los angeles, but she isn't the sun-kissed girl who left. she's a ghost in a volleyball jersey, a captain who leads in whispers, and a girl who flinches whenever the world gets too loud. MALACHI DANIEL BARTON is the king of the ice. as the captain of the hockey team, he has the perfect life, the perfect reputation, and the perfect girlfriend in ARIANNA GREENBLATT. he spent a decade trying to forget the girl who abandoned him, but the second freya skye walks back into the halls of their high school, his carefully built world starts to crack. she's guarded. she's broken. and she's terrified of the very boy who used to be her safe haven. while malachi tries to bridge the ten-year gap between them, freya is just trying to survive the echoes of her past. with a faded polaroid tucked in her pocket and a brother, WALKER SCOBELL, who will do anything to keep her safe, freya has to decide if she's ready to be seen again. in a world of ice hockey vs. volleyball, old loyalties vs. new scars, and the crushing weight of a slow burn that refuses to die, malachi and freya must figure out if some things are better left in the past-or if the girl in the photo is still worth fighting for. "SOME MEMORIES ARE TOO HEAVY TO CARRY ALONE. LUCKILY, I'VE ALWAYS BEEN GOOD AT LIFTING THE WEIGHT." ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Sixteen-year-old Freya Skye has everything the world thinks she wants-fame, fortune, and millions of fans who know every lyric she's ever written. She's the girl in the spotlight, the voice on the radio, the face on every magazine cover. But after a messy, very public breakup with her longtime boyfriend in Miami, Freya's family makes a fresh start in Los Angeles. To her, it's a chance to hide the cracks behind the perfect image. To everyone else at her new school, she's untouchable. Everyone, except Malachi Barton. Malachi has grown up in LA, surrounded by basketball, family legacy, and his close-knit group of friends. He doesn't have time for celebrity drama-he doesn't even know who Freya is when she shows up in her sleek Range Rover and sends the whole school into a frenzy. To him, she's just the new girl who looks like she's carrying secrets too heavy for someone her age. Freya is used to people loving the idea of her, not the real her. But with Malachi-and his friends, protective Kamri, hilarious MK, fangirl Dara, artistic Malia, stylish Kylie, and theatrical Joshua-she finds something she's never had before: a chance at being normal. A chance to laugh without cameras watching. A chance to be herself. But the past doesn't stay buried for long. Between paparazzi headlines, whispers at school, and the shadow of her ex, Freya has to decide if letting someone in is worth the risk. And Malachi must face what it means to fall for a girl whose world could pull him into the spotlight whether he wants it or not. A love story about healing, trust, and the courage to be seen-not as the world sees you, but as you truly are.

Freya Skye has everything - beauty, popularity, and the perfect boyfriend. As the captain of the cheer squad, life at Jefferson High is basically her runway. Malachi Barton, on the other hand, is the last person she'd ever notice: the quiet, brilliant, annoyingly confident boy next door who somehow balances straight A's with touchdowns. They've lived beside each other their whole lives but never exchanged a single word... until fate pairs them up for a project. Sarcastic jabs turn into fiery arguments, and soon, every hallway becomes a battlefield. But behind the insults and eye-rolls, something deeper is growing - something neither of them is ready to admit. Enemies? Absolutely. Something more? Maybe. - Writer Speaking: Hey!! So, here is it. A new book of my favorite ship, Fralachi. So hope you enjoy it. 😁😁 ⚠️This book has nothing to do with real life, and if you don't like it, just don't read and keep your hateful comments to yourself. Thank you.

I always thought Malachi and I would stay the same forever. Late-night FaceTime. Inside jokes, no one else understood. The kind of friendship where people raised their eyebrows and whispered, "Are you sure you're just friends?" And every time, I'd laugh and say, "Yeah, we're just friends." But maybe I was only trying to convince myself. Because somewhere between the shared playlist, the teasing banter and the way his eyes found mine in a crowded room... I stopped believing it. And maybe he did, too.
