Genre: Anthropomorphic, Drama, Parody, Racing, Psychological, School, Seinen, Slice of Life, Sports Synopsis: Tracen Academy is an academy to train Umamusumes to compete in the Twinkle series. However, one day, a mysterious blind Umamusume appeared in the front gate wearing the same school's sailor uniform as everyone wearing, claiming to be a transfer student that not even the Student Council knew that she was coming. For someone who is different and has a clear disadvantage, how does she cope to become part of the academy? And what is her goal for coming to Tracen Academy? "Does coming to this place...will change anything?" Disclaimer: I do not own the game/story of the Umamusume: Pretty Derby/Cinderella Grey. I only own the original characters I will be inserting in this fanfiction. All credits to the original owner of the game/story, Cygames. Also, the events that will occur in this fanfiction will be nothing more than pure fantasy and will have no connection to any real-life events. I will only follow the events that occurred in the game, anime, and manga.

The first thing anyone notices about Meisho Doto isn't her speed. It's the way she hesitates. A step too late. A quiet apology before anyone says a word. The way she lowers her gaze like she's already expecting to fail. At Tracen Academy, where confidence defines everything, she stands out-not for being the best, but for looking like she doesn't belong at all. And yet... she never stops trying. She stumbles. She overthinks. She doubts herself constantly. But she runs. You notice her by accident. Not because she wins. Not because she stands out. But because, for a brief moment-at the very end of a race-she changes. In the final stretch, the hesitation disappears. Her steps sharpen. The fear that holds her back seems to vanish, and suddenly, impossibly... She surges forward. Like someone who forgot how to be afraid. It never lasts. As soon as the race ends, so does that version of her. She returns to being the same anxious girl, apologizing under her breath, convinced she didn't deserve even that moment. But you saw it. And once you see something like that... you can't ignore it. This isn't the story of a perfect runner. It's the story of someone fighting against herself. Of a girl who believes she's always one step behind... and the slow, fragile journey of learning that maybe-just maybe-she can move forward anyway. Not because someone saves her. But because, this time... she won't have to run alone.

Tracen Academy is always buzzing with activity. It's not just at the field where most Umamusume train, it's seen all throughout the academy's numerous facilities. From the classrooms, to the dormitories, there's always something happening somewhere, every single day. This was the paradise that Yayoi Akikawa managed to create, and she still wanted to make the environment even better for all these Umamusume. To strive for their safety, comfort, and training, to be as good as possible for all of them, no exceptions. Such a paradise would not be possible without her faculty, staff, and array of trainers wanting to sharpen the skills of scouted Umamusume. Yes, such a paradise would not be possible without the shadows she casted to protect the academy, and its students, from harm. *All credits go to Cygames and the respective owners of art being used*

𝐓.𝐌. 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚 𝐎 𝐱 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 (Y/N) Lorenz is a human born in a world that's dominated by legendary racers, known as Umamusume. They grew up watching the track from the sidelines, memorizing split times, studying form, and imagining what it would feel like to run beneath roaring cheers. However, their dream to run alongside an Umamusume was proved to be impossible. Undeterred, they chose to become a trainer, arriving at Tracen Academy and determined to support the sport they love with everything they have. However, during their first scouting assignment, fate intervenes by introducing them to a flamboyant, self-proclaimed Overlord of the track who burns with brilliance, confidence, and an unwavering belief of her own destiny. Drawn together by shared passion rather than spectacle, the trainer and the Umamusume begin an unlikely partnership.

Y/N Hayakawa never believed in miracles. Raised in a family deeply connected to Tracen Academy, he was expected to become a trainer whether he understood Uma Musumes or not. Logical, outgoing, and stubbornly practical, Hayakawa believes in effort, planning, and taking the long route to success. Miracles, in his opinion, are just coincidences people are too afraid to explain. Then he meets KS Miracle. Two years behind her peers and burdened by a childhood spent in hospital rooms instead of racetracks, Miracle shouldn't even be standing at the starting gate. Frail in body but relentless in spirit, she carries a dream far bigger than her limits: to win a race for the parents who never stopped believing in her. No trainer wants to risk their reputation on a runner with a medical history thicker than her race record. Except Hayakawa. Where others see liability, he sees potential - not for a shortcut to glory, but for a long, careful path forward. As training begins, so does something neither of them planned for. Between late-night strategy sessions, awkward misunderstandings, hospital visits, and quiet promises at empty tracks, their philosophies begin to clash. He believes in slow progress. She believes in miracles. But when the finish line approaches and her fragile body threatens to betray her once more, Hayakawa must decide: Is choosing the longer path enough... When time refuses to wait?

(My own Uma Musume world will feature elements from both the game and anime and also a few new ideas and tropes) Training an Uma Musume is hard enough. Training Gold Ship? That's practically impossible. Between her pranks, reckless ideas, and her knack for dragging her trainer into trouble, Y/N wonders how he'll ever keep her on track. But as races heat up and their bond deepens, he begins to realize that maybe chaos was exactly what his life-and heart-needed.

Starting off with a rough start as a Trainer Y/N didn't have the best of luck yet, failing to find a trainee for a few weeks, until a random errand from a fellow trainer led Y/N to a mysterious Umamusume Manhattan Cafe ------- This is my first proper published fanfiction, I will try to make this as gender neutral as possible so both could enjoy. I won't 100% stick to the career story since this is a fanfiction after all but I will keep some parts that i see fit --------- Art commissioned by me, made by @himugatoki
