They were never treated normally by the outside world, but that changed the day an old man named Sensei Wu took them in, one by one. From the streets, or from unstable homes, it did not matter. He was forming a team to save the world--but each was unsure why they were chosen. Until now. With the uncovering of an ancient tome, fears are brought back to the surface, instability leaks back into lives, and the last member of the team is ready to be found. No (elemental) powers AU/Formling Jay AU Cole Brookstone lives in an apartment in Ninjago City, finally being able to get away from his dad, and he now works at a small coffee shop. When Cole was younger, a bluejay used to visit him, but those visits stopped when he moved to the city. However, just a few weeks into starting his job, a new customer starts coming in daily. Then, the bluejay starts returning. Is it just a strange coincidence, or is it something deeper?
