It's about two best friends, slowly falling in love with each other when Destiel becomes canon on the tv show SUPERNATURAL. Their lives change (Dean & Castiel's and Jensen & Misha's) when something outside of the set happens. This fanfic combines two stories, one about Cockles and the other one about Destiel.

The first time Cas meets Dean, the man comes into his flower shop to buy something nice for his new girlfriend. Cas is a bit disappointed. Dean is beautiful but off limits. Over the course of the year Dean comes in rather frequently. He buys flowers for his girlfriend, for his mother, for holidays, etc. Cas can see Dean is not happy in his relationship, but what can he do about it? They're not really friends. So when Valentine's Day rolls around Cas expects Dean to stop in and buy some big, extravagant arrangement, he doesn't show. Instead, Dean shows up ten minutes before closing and asks for a single white rose. But what is the meaning behind it? And who does he plan to give it to?

Castiel knew Dean would do anything for his club, the club was like his family. He never asked about the things Dean got up to as he thought he would be better off not knowing. However the more Dean tells him, the more aspects of Castiel's old, secret life begin to prop up out of the blue uninvited.

Beyond the world of Talk to Me, Dean is ensnared in the hands of the enemy lines. He is forced to a prisoner-of-war camp, where he must face the hardest times in his life, spurred on only by the thoughts of seeing his brother again, and the soldier that relied on him for his very life.

Castiel is a boy trying to make it on his own, a boy no different from the rest. Except, of course, for the pair of ocean blue wings he's hiding underneath baggy T-shirts and sweaters. He's antisocial and prefers to stick to himself. That is, until a boy named Dean Winchester starts turning everything upside-down. Destiel, high school AU.
