"The Purloined Letter" is a short story by American author Edgar Allan Poe. It is the third of his three detective stories featuring the fictional C. Auguste Dupin, the other two being "The Murders in the Rue Morgue" and "The Mystery of Marie Rogêt". These stories are considered to be important early forerunners of the modern detective story. It first appeared in the literary annual The Gift for 1845 (1844) and was soon reprinted in numerous journals and newspapers. Cover by the lovely @KatrinHollister

This book contains a daily dose of positivity. Sometimes, words are all people look for when they are carrying heavy responsibilities, silent struggles, and years of unheard and unseen emotions. A few comforting words can make someone feel understood, even when they don't know how to express what they are going through. But sometimes, words aren't enough. Still, I hope the words in this book reach you at the right time and help you in some way. Maybe you will find a little comfort, hope, strength, or simply a reminder that you are not alone. Read these words whenever you need them. Take what feels right for you, and leave behind what doesn't. I hope this book becomes a small place you can return to whenever life feels a little too heavy.
