Bucky Barnes is finally starting to get back bits of his past with the help of Shuri, but it is jumbled and unclear. As he attempts to sort them, he struggles to put the pieces together to get his memories back and see what, if anything, was good about the life he had wiped away from him. As his dreams start reveal more detail, Bucky thinks he recognizes someone he's just getting to know now. Is it actually a memory or is he is trying to put together something that was never there? It had been six months since Bucky moved into the tower. He mostly kept to himself or stayed around Steve. He was quiet and reserved and often left a room abruptly when memories came flooding back. It was hard for him to adjust, but he was making tremendous progress. The opposite was happening with Natasha, she was slowly sinking into herself as Bucky became more lively and remembered things. She was glad, truly happy, that he was getting better, but it pained her that he couldn't recall a single thing. He never showed any sign of remembrance. I do not own Marvel or the characters (sadly) but the story line is my own.

An AU where Civil War never happens, and people are friendly with each other. This is just Winterwidow fluff and smuff. Lot's of angst, but mostly fluff. Red room references.
