After one particularly rough day, Will decides that he can no longer take all of the hate and teasing that he goes through on a daily basis. Nico Di Angelo, son of Hades [god of the underworld] is a quiet boy that likes to keep to himself. After his sister passed away many years ago, his life has taken a dark turn, leaving Nico to only see the bad things in his life. Nico has very few friends, a half sister that he loves dearly, and a crush on one of his only friends. Wow, super sucky story description!! The fic is better than the description makes it sound by the way!

When Nico has to move from his home, Venice, Italy, to America for his half-sister, he never expected to meet someone who might be just what he needed to get through this winter. Will this person help him when things seem to beat down, and when Nico falls into his own pit of shadows? Will loved his life. Great family, great, home, great school, great friends. But what happens when a cute foreigner shows shows him that theres more to life than what you see in front of you? In both good ways, and bad. The hardest part isn't new school , leaving most of his family and friends, or the fact that he can only speak Italian. The simple fact is he crushing on someone...hard Will is the boy next door, the sunny kid everyone's best friend, super popular with dozens of friends, now he finds a new boy joining his small school . He only speaks Italian, and gets frustrated with the people they can't understand him. The simple fact is, he can't halp but fall in love with the Italian across the street. ~complete~ I own nothing happy reading!

"Do you even have a pulse?" Nico suppressed a flinch. Ironically enough, his heart started beating faster. "What's that supposed to mean?" "I guess you haven't looked in a mirror recently." His eyes narrowed at the blond, maybe after sneaking a glance at his ridiculously thin body in an even more ridiculous school uniform that hung off his bones. "Well, that's none of your business and-" Nico panicked for a moment as he searched his wrist, then tried following the teacher's instructions, until he felt the gentle thrum of life underneath his finger. "There! I d-have one." "Really?" Will grabbed his hand (okay, so it was less grabbing and more of a gentle grazing of his fingers against Nico's wrist) and oh. His eyes blew wide, and his heart pounded in his ears. Why did I let him do that? What do I do with my hand now? Can he feel how fast my heart is going? Three days in the infirmary. That's many how full days Nico will have with Will. They both want a connection between each other, but are too nervous. One of them might be planning to speak up. But everything about them is different. They are different from each other, and everybody else. What will happen in those three days? What will happen after those three days? What will happen... *dramatic pause* when disaster strikes? Will a disaster affect Nico and Will's relationship? What about when something that seems uncurable happens to Will? How can Nico and Will keep it together? Are they going to end up going their own separate ways? Or is somebody else going to try to control Will? (Dun dun duuuunnn) Unfortunately, I don't own any of these characters. If I did, that would be the best thing EVER, but I don't. Nico di Angelo had been shunned by his father, King Hades, for two years after he came out and told him he's gay. Since then, the young boy lived two years as a normal commoner, lying to others about others about whom he really is and where's he's been. Will Solace, son of King Apollo, has live a normal life in the Sun Palace with loving and supporting family. He's never had to worry too much about what his parents thought of him. Two years after Nico was rejected by his father, his older sister, Bianca, comes to him with news. She is getting married to Prince Will Solace and he's been invited back to his home palace to meet his soon to be brother in law. Nico agrees, for the sake of his sisters, to come home. What could go wrong if he were to go home? The answer: Everything. (Cover done by me, but no the art of Nico or Will. I wish I could make art like that though)

Nico felt like Icarus. Fly too close to the sun, and your wings will melt. Fly too close to the sea, your wings will grow heavy. Nico had already flown too close to the sea. He had allowed his infatuation with Percy to rule his life, his decisions, for far to many years. His wings had grown heavy, and he'd drowned. Icarus had made a mistake. He strayed too far, entranced by the kindness of the light. The dark wouldn't be as welcoming, ushering you in with no hesitancy and crossed arms. That didn't work out so well for Icarus. So, Nico would allow this filter, this light, to cover him, shroud him in kindness, and possibility, and warmth. But he would not cross further.
