The Taegion are an old but formidable race that have lived alongside humans as their protectors for centuries. With their inherited unique ability of shape-shifting into dragons and griffins at will, their society has been untouchable and feared around the world. Following the Old Code, their hierarchy is formed by the color of their transformation, as color is passed down from their parents. That will place them somewhere within their society. Taken and hidden since birth, Xander knows nothing about his birth or his true parents. All his adoptive parents know is that he was stolen by someone, and promised to raise their new child as normal as they could. They kept their promise, now it is time for Xander to rise to his true potential. His true form. Xander's past will catch up to him sooner than later, and the reveal will be astonishing. Xander was born in one of the small villages on the outskirts of Fyesari's capital city, Esiopolis. He grew up like a normal child did, made friends with a few of the local boys and prepared his whole life for his first transformations. What color you transformed into decided your future. Your destiny. You either got the potential to rule your whole race, or pick crops in Vulzal's farm in the Troll lands for the rest of your life. Xander expected to be a Green or a Purple like his parents... but when the time came and he felt the urge, things in his life are about to get very interesting. "Chosen from the few, he will rise as the many."

*COMPLETE* There are whispers across the kingdoms that the Paragon, that strangely gifted person who can wield all four Skills, has been found. They're wrong, of course. No one has caught the Paragon. Allayria should know: she's it. But Allayria doesn't want to be the Paragon, and in her pursuit of freedom she finds herself enmeshed in a web of lies, caught in a group who might be even more dangerous than she could have imagined. Still, she's not the only one who has problems: bigger tides of change and danger are shifting across the world she has been assigned to protect. The Jarles, a kingdom in the east, has begun moving across its borders, and there are strange murmurings about what they have done, and where all the children they abducted have gone. Faced with responsibilities she never wanted, and a life she thought she could never have, Allayria must decide how she will help--and if she will be the Paragon at all. _____________________ WIP Cover art and written work by Azi. *COMPLETE* "People don't believe in us anymore. They don't believe that in the end we will do what is right. We can't let them down. We can't let Ben win." Decisions made on top of the lonely, wind-swept cliff of Lethinor reverberate around the five kingdoms as war begins in earnest. This is a sequel to Paragon, it's my very, very, very strong recommendation you read it first, otherwise you will be totally lost. I am not joking. Five royal houses. One king. Three heirs. One throne. Whoever holds the throne holds the world and each house wants a piece, but at what cost. Nobles will clash head to head in this fantasy, but what they don't know... will ruin everything... The heir to the throne is still alive. *** "You know, I think it's time we teach this idiot a lesson, boys." Kellion reared back and tackled the young, scared boy to the ground. His weight crushed the boy as dirt and rocks dug into his back through the thin tunic he was wearing. Suddenly, the sky darkened. Kellion looked up and hesitated. The young boy took this opportunity and started to gather the energy from the air into the palm of his hand, electricity sparking. Kellion looked back down at the boy and froze, terror taking over all the features on his face. His two companions took off back down the path to the village, but a strike of lightning sent them flying and unconscious a few feet away. The young boy released the ball of lightning onto the terrified bully, electricity sparking through his body. Kellion's body fell, lifeless to the ground and as the young boy fled into the forest. The village boys vanished as the clearing went up in flames.

"What the hell?" I took a step closer to the mirror, staring at my reflection in disbelief. The person looking back was still me, but at the same time it wasn't. I had the same thick, dark, curly hair. The same hazel eyes. The same olive skin with a light dusting of freckles (ugh) scattered across the bridge of my nose. But my curls were now streaked with highlights. And not the subtle, golden-brown ones that sometimes appeared during the summer. No, these were an aggressive, dazzling blond that went from the roots of my hair all the way to the tips. It looked like I had spent a full day getting my hair done in some upscale salon. Never mind that I had never set foot in such a place since the day I was born. My eyes appeared somehow wider and more luminous. The colour brighter, my eyelashes darker up against them. And, when I looked closely, my pupils seemed to be slitted almost like a cat. I looked down at my body. My skinny arms-which had always refused to gain any definition no matter how hard I exercised-were lined with flat, wiry muscles. My bony shoulders were now curved and smooth. My scrawny legs were toned like a dancer. I reached down and lifted my shirt, revealing two subtle lines running vertically down my perfectly flat stomach, hinting at the rock-hard abs underneath. My whole body was rippling with strength. Like liquid steel.
