But once he got past a difficult but necessary conversation, Dave discovered far more to his longtime friend than he'd imagined - and discovered a few things about himself as well. ***** This fic originated with iamtheoriginalpard, one of my favourite authors, although it was originally posted only on Rockfic. It left off on a bit of a cliffhanger when real life intervened, and when they returned to writing some time later, they felt they couldn't get back into the fic well enough to do it justice. As I loved the story and the pairing, I wrote a continuation and then got their approval to post their work and mine together as a single story. Hopefully I've done justice to their beginning with my ending. Written with the utmost respect and love for the men of Iron Maiden.
