"A criminal will always be a criminal."
The National Bureau of Investigation runs a classified program called Prison for Life. The initiative assigns selected convicts to help solve ongoing criminal cases under direct supervision.
Agent Albert Villeneuve is assigned to lead the group in his final mission before retirement. He works with three members: a smuggler, a scammer, and a hacker, people he once helped put behind bars. Now, instead of chasing them, he is ordered to guide them. His job is to make sure they follow the rules, stay under control, and use their skills to close active cases.
The setup is uneasy. The team does not trust him, and he does not trust them either. But the program allows no choice. Each case they take is part of their deal: solve it, report it, and move on to the next. Albert's role is to keep the line between order and chaos and make sure no one crosses it.
