Lucy Chen is a 27 year old 9-1-1- dispatcher. Lucy is one of four kids, two older siblings Lilia and Anthony and one younger sister Lola. And funnily enough she is the only single one. All her other siblings are either married, engaged or dating. Her mother Vanessa Chen makes sure Lucy doesn't forget her non existence love life. Lucy knows her mother means well, but it sometimes bugs her. Lucy loves her job, and she usually drowns herself to work to not return to the empty apartment. Another reminder that she is single. It's not that she would mind being single, but she can't help wondering if someday it will be her turn to meet someone either. So after one extremely hard day at work when she is back to her lonely apartment she decides "fuck it" and sings up to this blind date thing. How bad could it be? But what happens when a tall, blonde man shows up and Lucy finds herself falling for the guy she has known less than a month? And what if the guy has a secret he has kept from her? Tim Bradford is 31 and a cop. He loves his job, but there is one thing he loves even more, his 3 year old daughter Esmay. His best friends love being nose deep in his love life and one night he hears that they have singed him up to this blind date thing, and he has a date in an hour. He decides not to mention his daughter, this probably won't be anything and he doesn't want to spook the girl off on the first date. But what will happen when he finds himself falling for the dark haired girl that still doesn't know he is a father? And what will happen when Lucy does find out? Will she walk away from the only man that has ever made her feel like this, or will she become the mother Tim's daughter never had?

Lucy Chen thought she had it all figured out. The road to detective, a new rank, a clean slate. What she didn't plan for was being thrown back into the same rotation as Timothy Bradford. Tim. Her ex. Her once-training officer. And, unfortunately, her biggest distraction. Freshly broken up and still feeling the sting, Lucy was determined to keep things professional.. until the day Sergeant Grey promoted her to temporary training officer. Now she's on equal ground with Tim... and their rookies just happen to be best friends. The chances of two training officers secretly hooking up? Low. But never zero. Because in the LAPD, secrets don't stay buried for long-not when rookies are watching, blackmail is brewing, and one wrong move could destroy everything they've worked for. "Cops gossip more than middle schoolers," Tim muttered. Lucy smirked. "Then we'd better give them something to talk about." When the line between duty and desire starts to blur again, Lucy has to choose, follow the rules... or break them all for the man she swore she was done with. Guys if you saw this before this edit pls forgive me, I do NOT know who wrote 'uwu' on this and I promise it's not me. Swear, someone else messed it up

She was only supposed to be the nanny. Not the one who fixed everything. Lucy Chen needed a fresh start. Tim Bradford needed a new nanny. And his daughter? She just needed someone who wouldn't leave. What starts as a job quickly turns into something much messier-midnight snacks, backyard movie nights, awkward family dinners, accidental feelings, and one very loyal dog named Kojo. In a house full of heartbreak, Lucy becomes the light. But even sunshine burns when it gets too close. A slow-burn Chenford nanny AU filled with love, healing, girl talk, unexpected family, and found-forever. 60+ chapters of grumpy x sunshine, emotional softness, and Kojo chaos 🐾

"She's just my rookie." and "He's just my Sergeant." Only if it were that simple there'd be no story to tell... Lucy Chen joined the LAPD to prove herself. What she didn't expect was to be paired with someone likeTim Bradford-her no-nonsense training officer whose bark is exactly as sharp as his bite. At first, their partnership is a clash of wills, but underneath the tension simmers something neither of them dares name. When Lucy's personal life implodes and Tim's fractured relationship pushes him past his limits, the two find themselves circling closer-caught between duty, desire, and the unspoken bond that grows with every shift. From patrol calls in Los Angeles to an undercover operation in Las Vegas, where they must pose as lovers in order to bring down a dangerous drug syndicate, Tim and Lucy's act becomes harder to separate from reality. Every touch, every glance, every kiss blurs the lines between cover and confession. But with enemies closing in, secrets threatening to surface, and their careers hanging in the balance, one thing becomes clear: the most dangerous risk they'll take may not be the job-it may be each other. This book has been written after CoG, so there are SPOILERS. After Grindelwald's attack, Newt and Tina have been thrown into emotional turmoil and neither one knows what to do. There will be a lot of Newtina fluff. And don't let this description deter you from reading if you're interested, I'm horrible at writing descriptions. I do not use curse words and I do not write smut, so if you aren't comfortable with that (I personally am not) this is ok for you. There will be some minor-ish kissing details. Nothing super graphic. Disclaimer: I own none of these characters except for the ones I have made up, and the entire wizarding world belongs to the amazing J.K. Rowling. Highest Ranking in Newtina: 3th (11/13/2019)

There's an unspoken rule in the LAPD: if someone calls after 3 a.m., it better be life or death. So when Lucy Chen finds herself dialing Tim Bradford in the middle of the night after a nightmare, she expects silence - not for him to answer on the first ring. The call is short. Quiet. Safe. And it accidentally starts something they can't stop. What begins as a lifeline during sleepless nights becomes a ritual neither of them wants to break. Every call brings them closer - shared silences, confessions half-whispered into darkness, and feelings neither of them can admit under daylight. But when a dangerous call on duty nearly shatters everything, Tim and Lucy are forced to confront what's been growing between them - not with words mumbled through sleep, but with eyes open, hearts racing, and no more excuses. Because after so many calls at 3 a.m., they're both starting to realize... Maybe it was never just about the time. Maybe it's always been about each other. | I also post this on my AO3 account |
