He managed to collect a few tolerances, though none he'd dare call friends-except, perhaps, his roommate. Eugene Ottinger, the small, curly-haired beekeeper who had helped Wednesday save the school last semester. Even with him, things were prickly at best. But Pugsley never backed away. There was something about the grumpy boy that had snagged his attention the very first day-like finding a perfectly preserved insect pinned under glass.
