Secrets were always meant to stay buried. Atleast that's what Seonghwa thought. 𓆩༻˚•∘♡∘•˚༺𓆪 Seonghwa refuses to believe his brother is dead. While everyone else has moved on, he's still chasing fragments -- rumours, sightings, anything that suggests the truth was buried along with the body. His search drags him into places he was never meant to survive: underground streets ruled by gangs, engines screaming through illegal races, and deals made in the dark. That's where he meets Hongjoong -- sharp, unreadable, and deeply embedded in a world Seonghwa barely understands. Their partnership is born out of necessity, not trust. Hongjoong knows the streets; Seonghwa has a reason to burn everything down. Together, they start pulling at threads that were never meant to unravel. But the deeper they go, the more dangerous the truth becomes. Loyalties shift, enemies blur into allies, and somewhere between late-night races and near-fatal choices, something unexpected begins to grow between them. Because, to Seonghwa, finding his brother might mean losing everything else -- including himself. 𓆩༻˚•∘♡∘•˚༺𓆪 ateez!racerAU Matz centered ♡

I walked in, a soft bell dinging over my head. A blue haired guy with crossed arms and an unpleasant expression was staring out the window at the pathetic excuse of weather outside. He seemed lost in thought. But he sure didn't look too presentable with the frowning face. I cleared my throat softly and he looked at me, expression turning kinder. "Good morning." He said. "Good morning." I said and looked at the menu. We both kept quiet after that. I looked at the menu above him. "... What can you recommend?" I asked. "Caffeine or no caffeine?" He asked. I looked at him with an obvious expression. He cracked a little smile. I immediately noticed his pretty teeth. "Caffeine I'm guessing." He said. I nodded. I let out a soft sigh and took a sip of the coffee. My eyes widened. "That's... Wow. That's a damn good coffee." I said. Hongjoong smiled proudly at the praise. I rubbed the back of my neck softly and we both fell quiet again. He was awkward and so was I. "I have to... Get to work now." I said and walked towards the door. "Don't let this be the last time I see you." Hongjoong said and my cheeks turned crimson again. "It won't be the last time." I said without turning around. I wasn't gonna let him see my cheeks with such color two times in the span of 5 minutes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Seonghwa is a single father who moved to a small town. Hongjoong is a local barista. The two of them meet one morning in the café Hongjoong works at. Will it be the last time they see each other? Ranks: 15th place: Hongjoong 24th place: ATEEZ

Around evening, I chose not to play piano. I walked into the design studio. Seonghwa was hunched over a sewing machine. I sat down next to him. "Hi." I said. He gasped and looked at me. "Uh... Hey..." he said. I rested my chin on my hand and watched him. "No piano smashes tonight?" He asked. I shook my head. I watched in silence as he continued sewing. "I brought dinner." I said. His breath hitched as I placed some takeout on the table. "No thank you. I already ate." He said. I just looked at him with a deadpanned expression. He stared at the box. "Please just eat, Seonghwa..." I said quietly. "You don't have to eat all of it." I added and gave him some chopsticks. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Seonghwa's parents own a fashion company. Hongjoong's father is a musician. Both of them the rich kids. I noticed a guy in the circle who was looking at me. My eyes widened a little and I fell quiet, shyly looking at the bottle and spun it. It took some turns with a few answered questions and some kisses before it landed on me again. This time, Wooyoung was the one to dare me. "I dare you to make out with Seonghwa." He said. I looked around. "Who-who's Seonghwa?" I asked. Wooyoung pointed at the guy who was looking at me just before. He was really pretty. But also handsome. I almost felt a little insecure. I crawled over to him. "See how long you can go before having to pull away!" Wooyoung added. I looked at Seonghwa. I didn't really wanna make out with a stranger but I was dared to. And then I sealed our lips. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hongjoong has his struggles with alcohol. The room was spinning... I giggled a little. I held my hands up in front of me. I didn't have two hands... I had ten. The whole room was neon colors. I rolled onto my side, my giggling slowly turning into sobs. I desperately rubbed my arms as if I was trying to get rid of the tickling feeling. I was scared. I felt like hands were crawling up my body, wrapping around my neck. I screamed, trying to push away things that weren't even on me. When it was all over, I layed quietly. I grabbed the little bag of white powder. I needed more. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Wooyoung is badly addicted to drugs. He can't go one day without it. The hardest part was acknowledging that the betrayal hurt, that the marriage was coming to an end. But can love die just like that? Of course not! Not when you love someone so deeply, but it can simmer down until nothing is left. And simmering is what Yeosang intends to do. I can't say this enough but, my brother helped with the brainstorming of the story. So credit to him where it's due.

I zipped my pants back up. Yunho layed on the bed, still catching his breath. I put my shirt back on and fixed my hair a little in his mirror. "... There's this new movie that just came out... Don't you wanna stay over and watch it?" He asked. I scoffed. "What do you think?" I asked. "... Uhh..." he looked away. "Exactly." He looked utterly defeated. I almost felt a little guilty. "... Are you sure you don't wanna stay?" He asked. "Nerd. I've got stuff to do. People to be with." I said. "Why don't you wanna be with me? Am I not a person?" He asked. I sighed. "You know the agreement. Nothing more, nothing less." I said and left. I could hear him crawling deeper under the comforter. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mingi is a rich jock who everyone loves. Yunho is a rich nerd who everyone hates.
