Growing up in the brick of lower class, Bassie had to mature fast to survive the Poor side of South Korea. Everyday she worked hard to get herself and Guardian, Jiwoo out of the ghetto and into a safer, higher income area. As she's consistently studying, Bassie barely found time to make friends, and missed out on learning a lot of social cues due to her determination to get into her dream high school, Gardenview International Academy. When the day came where she got accepted into the Academy on a full-ride Scholarship, Bassie thought all her work had paid off and felt confident that her future has been laid out for her, feeling that nothing can ruin her strive. However, she wasn't prepare for the massive culture shock she would face in the academy, as she realized she was one out of a few underprivileged students attending the Academy among a bunch of rich, somewhat snobby, and oblivious students. Now faced with harsh bullying, moving into a dorm triple the size of her bedroom, and having to worry about keeping her grades in tacked to stay at her school, Bassie will have to learn how to advocate for herself and teach herself how to converse with her peers if she wants to survive her new environment.
A/N: So I did a bit of research to try and make this as accurate to a High School K-drama and I added very minimal American culture to this story such as the cheerleading culture and a couple of afterschool programs, as well as it being an international school but I promise to not add too many western high school stuff. I figured it would make things a bit more interesting. I hope you enjoy!
