The events in this story follow the night after Sasuke Uchiha returns home with his family after defeating Shin Uchiha (Naruto Gaiden: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring). The husband and wife spend a wonderful night after being separated for seven years. Amidst his duties as a shinobi, Sasuke realizes that it is time that he has some duties for his family as well. This takes place shortly after the Naruto Shippuden series. Within a year after Naruto and Hinata's wedding. Nurse Sakura is working at the hospital in the Village of the Hidden Leaf. Her and her love interest since she was still in the ninja academy are long broken up and split for good as she's got to focus on work and her former lover Sasuke is gone for three to six months at a time. Still a little heartbroken, a little more than a year passed and it was known that Lord Hokage Naruto's wife was pregnant. Sure enough, Hinata wasn't the only one. After a few weeks, Ino didn't have the flu. She was expecting as well. Sad, lonely, and overworked Sakura continued her work at the hospital and bumped into a patient that was in bad shape. He was going to be in the hospital for a while. Where Sakura sort of felt that a man has never treated her with such kindness before. That's when she debated if she was over Sasuke and asking herself if she can punch through her own mental barrier.
