Surprisingly, the three get along well, but once the brothers are adopted by an aristocratic family, (m/n) is alone once again. Many years later, after (m/n) himself gets adopted, also by an aristocrat family, he bumps into an old friend on a cruise, who now goes by William James Moriarty. But that's not the only person he bumps into, Sherlock Holmes, a 'consulting detective', who's mind seems to challenge William's.
