Chase and Skye had always had a very close friendship. In fact, Skye believed that one day they could become something more together. Non-platonic relationships had never been considered within the Paw Patrol, at least without much thought. However, on a rare occasion where neither of them are called on a mission, the pilot and police pup's eyes are both set on how to make the most of their sudden day off.

If you haven't read my first story, "Ryder Goes Missing," you might want to start there first. This isn't a sequel-just a continuation of the same story. Ryder also gets older in this one. After a tragedy changes everything, the pups are left dealing with the aftermath and trying to rebuild what was lost. Will they be able to recover... and find their way back to each other? This story also includes romance: Ryder/Katie, Skye/Chase, and Rocky/Zuma. Version 2 (more dramatic / emotional) If you haven't read "Ryder Goes Missing," I recommend reading that first. The PAW Patrol have headed back to Adventure Bay, after Stopping Mayor Humdinger from destroying Adventure City, Mayor Humdinger went to Jail, and Liberty became the Newest Member of the PAW Patrol, but stayed at Adventure City to look after her City, but one day, when the PAW Patrol had to Rescue someone again in Adventure Bay, Chase notices something very familiar about that Person's Face, but where has Chase seen him before?

Ryder's life in Adventure Bay is finally stable-until one night he's kidnapped. When the pups wake up and realize he never came home, Chase takes charge, but Ryder's pup pad won't trace and there's no sign of him anywhere. Ryder wakes up trapped in a locked room, watched on cameras, and forced to build dangerous robot software for a masked man who threatens to kill the pups if Ryder refuses. The PAW Patrol searches nonstop, and when Ryder briefly manages to contact Chase, Rocky tries to trace the call-but the signal drops before they can lock in his exact location. As the pups get closer, Ryder is punished and badly hurt, but he refuses to give up. The team keeps pushing, determined to find him before it's too late-because whoever took Ryder doesn't just want control of Adventure Bay... they want Ryder's inventions, his money, and to destroy everything he built.

After an exhausting day of rescues, all the pups and Ryder are sleeping hard - except for one. Still feeling a bit restless from the day, Zuma decides to have himself a late-night snack. But he's not the only one up. Another sleepless pup decides to join the Chocolate Lab; striking up a conversation - and perhaps a little more.
