Curses: The embodiment of every negative feeling humanity's ever felt, given physical form. Chemies: Artificial creatures created in order to combat the onslaught of curses plaguing the world, their power so great that must be sealed inside of cards to be utilized. Two opposing forces running rampant in the world, with humanity caught in the middle of the never-ending war the two sides wage. Of course, not everyone is able to see this war take place around them, but, those unfortunate few that do possess the ability to perceive Curses and Chemies are known as Jujutsu Sorcerers. Now, let us follow a familiar, yet...different story from what you all may know. This story, is the tale of two young men. The Sacrificial Cog for the greatest of evil. And the Living Martyr for all things good. Dreams are fickle things. Sometimes, they help you achieve everything you ever aspired to. Other times...you fail and feel those dreams just out of reach, yet unattainable. This is a story of two young men, one who dreamed of an impossible ideal, climbing tooth and nail to the top...and the other, an unholy experiment gone wrong, a faux-person who lacked a dream entirely, wishing for a place to simply call home. These two, who started on completely separate paths, would eventually inter-join, and change the course of the entire world as they knew it. Aliens, Ghosts, Monsters...which actually exists? This is the argument that typical high schoolers Momo Ayase, Ken Takakura, and Kiga Michita were involved in on a typical day like any other. Ken argued that aliens and UAPs existed. Momo refuted the existence of Aliens and instead argued that Ghosts existed instead. Meanwhile, Kiga quickly shot both of them down and insisted that Monsters were the ones that really existed. Unable to relent on any of their beliefs, the trio held a bet: Each would go to a well-known area where each species was spotted, and whoever encounters their creature wins. Needless to say...the three bit off far more than they could chew when all three showed up at the same time!
