An experimented toddler at the age of 4 (thats how he gained his powers and sprouted wings from his back). His sister got killed by a car. He couldn't fly. His older brother; Matthew, and him had to witness the death of their beloved youngest sister; Velira. After coming home with a half bloody knee and a broken wing, their mother abused them for about five years straight. Vern had enough and took matters into his own hands by killing his own mother that gave birth to him. "At least mother is dead." Vern said to himself. "But then again, I miss u, Val...." Vern had to put a fake smile on his face after the multiple deaths so no one would have to find out about his dark dark past.... 2-3 years later, he went into high school, where he met his amazing pals, including his boyfriend; Nick. These guys have had multiple adventures together. Until one day, Vern wasn't acting like himself. Nick knew something was wrong. When he attempted to comfort Vern, Vern just protested and said "I don't need your help...". And then after trying to help his boyfriend, Vern just snapped.
