The staff was almost as powerful as Zeus himself, or rather Poseidon. When Gwen's life started falling apart, she knew that one thing, er, person was the reason. Anna. Anna told Gwen not to touch that staff but she just didn't listen. In fact, Gwen never listened so what was she supposed to do? She always got ignored by her so-called best friend. Maybe if she got the staff she'd finally be seen. Not just by Gwen, by everybody. But when Gwen started calling her crazy and a villain, she'd had enough.
