ain hit the city so hard it made the neon lights blur. Sunghoon stood in the middle of the abandoned warehouse, gun raised, hair sticking to his forehead. His voice was steady. "Step out slowly, Lee Heeseung." From the shadows, Heeseung emerged - black shirt, wet hair, and a smile that looked like trouble. "Detective Park," he drawled, hands raised but eyes glued to Sunghoon's face. "You look good soaking wet." Sunghoon's jaw tightened. "Shut up." Heeseung took one slow step closer. "What? I'm just appreciating the view." "Another step and I shoot." "You won't." Heeseung's voice was soft, almost fond. "You never do." And he was right - Sunghoon hated that he was right. Sunghoon moved first, grabbing Heeseung's wrist to cuff him. But Heeseung leaned in, whispering against his ear: "Your hands are shaking. Is it fear... or something else?" Sunghoon shoved him back so hard the cuffs clattered to the floor. "Don't test me." Heeseung smiled like he just won something. "Oh, detective. I plan to test you every time." The sirens approached outside, but neither of them moved. Rain poured in through the broken roof, dripping between them like a barrier they were both tempted to cross. "You should arrest me," Heeseung said softly, stepping closer anyway. "Or," he tilted Sunghoon's chin up with one finger, "you can admit you like chasing me." Sunghoon slapped his hand away - too fast, too defensive. "I don't like you," he hissed. Heeseung grinned. "You don't have to like me, Sunghoon. But you're going to want me." started at 11/24/25 ended at 12/21/25
