Buck wanted to go home. He wanted nothing more than to be back with his family and to go home. Things had been rough this last year though, first his leg got crushed, he had a pulmonary embolism, he was told he couldn't come back to work, and then there was a tsunami. Even with now being allowed back at work after making the mistake of filing a lawsuit, things were still a bit strained. His family and home still felt like they were an arm's length out of reach. Then, things get even worse somehow when he and the rest of the team get sent to see Dr. Wells after a particularly rough call.

In the aftermath of the bridge collapse, Buck and Eddie share a moment. They don't talk about it. They argue, and things get tense between them. Eddie is convinced there will be nothing more than bros until Eddie receives a package that changes everything.

Set a year in the future, Eddie Diaz reflects on his time in El Paso and the events that triggered his return to LA. As he works through his conflicting feelings and tries to figure out why Buck has been pulling away from him, his best friend reveals a hidden truth that rocks Eddie's world.

Set after the events of 911 Season 6 Episode 9, Red Flag... Eddie makes his choice and pursues a relationship with Buck. This comes with the trials and tribulations of getting together, being in love, the lightning strike, Buck's recovery, the secret relationship reveal, parental drama, and Buck's past as a SEAL coming back to haunt the 118. I wrote a large chunk of this story during the winter hiatus. Started posting on the archive in February. All of this is already posted there. You may have already read this there. This story will be ongoing and will deal with some heavy themes. Trigger warning up front. They will deal with, but not tolerate homophobia, ableism, Bobby's AA, Buck's history of abuse, Maddie's is mentioned, Eddie's family drama. These triggers and others make an appearance... None are tolerated, and they overcome things as a team and a family. There will be drama, angst, violence, smut, cursing, etc... There will be some angst between the characters. No character bashing ... they actually will deal with their issues to move past them. There is some drama between Buck and Maddie very early ... and then Buck and Eddie against Bobby... Eddie and Bobby, Buck and Chim... These are done to actually deal with plots the show leaves hanging.

As Buck and Tommy become more serious after the wedding what will happen when Buck soon realizes he may have feelings for his best friend.

Eddie is struggling with his mental health and Buck tries to help him through it.

An 8x06 coda where Eddie is letting himself be happy, and Buck is still spiraling about "I'm not your last; I'm your first."

Eddie gets in a car accident on his way to El Paso. Buck rushes to his side and along the way they confess new secrets to each other. Enjoy :)

Set after season 6, Buck works to rebuild his friendship with Eddie after he has a flashback of the shooting.
