So, when the war was over, and she came back to the midwest, she was stuck in a state of restlessness.
"Most of my (few) friends from Yale wrote to me after the war, of a new life awaiting them after the brutal years of battle. One that started with the bond business. It wasn't that bad of an idea the more and more I thought about it, and a few months later, I asked my relatives if I could move east to learn bonds."
That is how Rosey ended up in New York in the spring of '22, still taking those ol' trousers back from her Yale days with her.

In 1922, Rosaline "Rosey" Carraway from the midwest makes the move to New York City to escape the restlessness she felt after the war. Along the way, she meets many people, including a peculiar person named "Riggy Rigsby," who just so happens to be her neighbor, and their meeting marks the beginning of his fall.
(A Toon Turf x Great Gatsby AU, gasp!)

The work will mostly follow the pathway/storytelling of The Great Gatsby musical until the tea part (Chapter 5-ish), where it will then transition to the book/movie. So I do fear that If you are not particularly fond of the musical that the beginning half of this AU is tough.
Because of that as well, This work is not fully a retelling of the original story, so if you do enjoy this work I beg of you to read The Great Gatsby or watch the movie (the only one I can recommend personally is the 2013 version as its the only one I've seen xd)
