Damian returns to the small town of Orovac with little to no recollection of the place he used to call home. What is initially meant to be a casual summer holiday very soon takes a turn when he meets a handsome, young man. Wyatt. A childhood friend.
Neither remembers the other, and as they reconnect, Damian finds himself feeling something he hasn't felt before: sweaty palms, blushing, and choking up on his words. He realises these are feelings he can't ignore.
But Wyatt isn't available. Between family expectations, a girlfriend who's finishing her degree, and fears he isn't ready to face, Wyatt finds himself tangled in a web of his own problems-and what's worse, Damian is trapped in it too.
Between desire and betrayal, Damian longs for something he shouldn't, while Wyatt yearns for the affection that's slipping out of his reach.
But, in the end, when all the cards are laid bare and the truth comes to light, Damian will be faced with a choice. To stay or to go. To hope for the rain to come and heal his withering longing, or to have the harsh heat burn it until there is nothing left.
