"I'll marry you, Ishan. No matter what happens, no matter who stands against us... I'll make you mine."
Shubman's voice was firm, his eyes filled with a determination that scared Ishan more than it comforted him. It wasn't just love in his words anymore ...it was desperation, the fear of losing the only person he had loved since childhood.
Ishan took a step back, his heart racing.
"Shubman... please understand," he whispered, his voice trembling. "This can't happen. Our families will never accept this. Your family, my father... they'll destroy everything."
But Shubman refused to look away.
"I don't care about their hatred. I don't care about their rules. I've spent years staying away from you because they told me to... but I can't do it anymore."
"Shubman..." Ishan's eyes filled with fear. "Please... let me go."
For a moment, silence filled the room.
But Shubman's expression softened only slightly.
"Do you really want me to let you go?" he asked quietly. "After all these years? After knowing that you're the only person who ever made me feel alive?"
Ishan looked away, afraid of his own feelings.
"Don't make this harder than it already is..."
But Shubman stepped closer, his voice breaking.
"I lost you once because of our families. I won't lose you again."
