Viviano "Viv" Vitale is the newly checked in patient of a dull psychiatric ward after a quiet breakdown that no one in his life saw coming. He hates his name, his smile, and the way everyone keeps telling him he's "too normal to be here." Viv's instinct is to ignore his new non-binary, awkward and timid roommate completely. What follows is a slow, uneasy connection built through nighttime conversations when the rest of the ward is asleep. Viv doesn't understand his own pain, let alone anyone else's, but in trying to figure this person out, he might start seeing himself a little clearer too.
