Dr Sarah Truong arrives in St John, Newfoundland as a temporary forensics liaison, a case that ties a suspect to both Ontario and St John which has led SJPD Major Crimes Unit to join with OPP to solve the case. It also gave Sarah an opportunity to see if their Chief of Forensics position was still available that and the change of scenery was well needed for Sarah who needed some time to sort out what she wanted now that her internship was ending soon. Will St John be the change she needs?

A normal day turns a bit grim when Sarah gets kidnapped while at a crime scene, it's up to Joe, Charlie, and Jesse with Rex to find her before it's too late.

Apparently, fate decided that a devastating international pandemic and the general anihilictic chaos that comes with life weren't enough to throw everyone for a loop and decided to add soulmates on top of everything. Lovely.
