Someone's threatening Highcrest... Friday's sure she can handle another term at Highcrest. Well, that's before the threats, and the scavenger hunt, and the school dance. Maybe this term won't be as easy as she thought... Author's Note: At the time of originally writing this, the most recent Friday Barnes book was Danger Ahead, so canon compliance stops for books that follow.

Friday Barnes has had a very quiet time at Interpol NYC lately. Until there is a famous interpretive pumpkin stolen, and Friday is first on the scene. With no clues and no suspects, it looks like a dead end. But she has all the time in the world..right? Wrong. Another artwork is stolen the same time a week later, and now she's on a timer. With a useless head agent and her boyfriend turning up dead in a dumpster, Friday is beginning to feel the pressure. Will she be able to solve this crime?

So, naturally, his gripes and moans about it attract none other than one nosy Friday Barnes. She tries to help - as it's her nature - but instead gets pushed away. After a hard four years without Ian, Friday is back in in the airport terminal waiting for her lover. Will Ian come? Will there be any more mysteries to solve? And what will happen if he doesn't come? Well you always know, Friday's on the case!
