Damian and Jason al Ghul grew up in isolation away from the rest of the world, the only company they had was each other and occasionally their mother, Talia. They believed their father to be dead, their mother had always told them so, and why should they question her? She is their mother, after all. Everything was fine until the day Talia's life of crime caught up to her, forcing her two sons to be sent to live with their very much alive father and the siblings they never knew they had. What could possibly go wrong?

Words from 'gullible Grayson's' goodbye letter are etched in his mind as he finds himself questioning the reality of his situation as a whole. Lost and confused, someone sacrifices their world for him which leads him pay the ultimate price. Will he remain a prisoner in his own mind, or will his thoughts be freed as he discovers who he truly is...

"All love is conditional" Damian says with dark eyes and a certainty that only reflected Bruce's own failure in himself. "Todd said it isn't but if that were true, you and Mother would love me without requiring me to change every day." Bruce felt his heart break as his own failure slapped him in the face. _________ Or! After Bruce says some hurtful things in anger, Damian runs away and Jason finds him and realizes the kid's twisted beliefs he's been forced to learn.

So... I fell headfirst into DC and got attached to the Batfam. Especially Dick and Damian. When I found out there was a Dick and Dami week I just had to give it a go. And here we are! The event runs from May 8th to 11th so that means there'll be a new chapter each day for this week. Summaries are at the start of the chapter along with the prompts for the day and the one(s) I used. Each part is meant to be read as a standalone piece and won't be connected. Also, this is my first work in the DC fandom so don't be too harsh. Constructive criticism is always welcome!
