While gathering food, Tommy accidentally stumbles into a trap set by Dream, a human hunter. Recognizing that Tommy's small wings render him a poor catch, Dream makes a surprising choice: he releases Tommy instead of capturing him. However, he secretly follows Tommy, hoping to discover the location of the hidden hybrid village. When Dream slips and falls off a cliff, Tommy uses his small wings to save him, challenging everything he was taught about humans. Their unexpected bond begins to form, but the dangers of their worlds loom ever closer, forcing them to navigate a fragile trust amidst deep-seated prejudices.

As Tubbo's nuke tears through the remnants of civilization, DreamXD-once a god, now a crumbling figurehead-clings to power by rewriting time itself. His final gambit: send Karl Jacobs into the past to rewrite the story before it ever began. There, Karl finds a young Dream and hands him a drawing of a blond boy with blue eyes-a boy he names Tommy. "Never hurt this man," Karl warns. Dream, misunderstanding the message, believes the boy in the picture is his destined lover. He swears to protect him, no matter the cost. Years later, when Tommy storms the heart of the Dream SMP, sowing chaos in his wake, Dream is faced with an impossible choice: defend his SMP or keep his promise to the one he believes he loves.

Dream losses his mind rotting in the prison before mysteriously disappearing. Tommy on an adventure finds a boy with soft blond hair. He tries approaching him, but the boy seems to be very scared. He can't remember who he is. After Tommy sees the many scars on the boy's body, he decides to help him out and take the boy home.
