Everybody in her life has failed her. 𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐡𝐝 𝐋𝐲𝐧𝐜𝐡 is free. He's safe. With a warm bed, home-cooked meals and a nosy family checking if he's okay. Yet, part of him was still stuck in that house. Where the fire of arguments and fists always lingered. Insomnia had taken over his nights, leaving him to run on spite and energy drinks. Snappy and unapologetically himself, and the fights in school to prove it. 𝐎𝐑,, 𝐀 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐮𝐫𝐥𝐲 brought them together. Fiadh was on edge her whole first day at Tommen. She was used to being terrorised in school, so all she could do was wait for it to arrive. But, it didn't. All that appeared was the boy who sat next to her in Maths. For six grueling years, Joey Lynch has existed on the jagged edge of survival, running on the fumes of hunger and the promise of a quiet, chemical oblivion. He is a boy built of scar tissue, a product of the flats where the only thing louder than the sirens is his father's violent hand. His only sanctuary is the second-story window at the rich end of town, guarded by Juliet Lovelace a girl with terrifyingly green eyes and a heart of reckless gold. She is his safety, his secret surgeon, and the only reason he hasn't let the darkness swallow him whole. In the daylight of 2005, they are a study in silence. Joey is the school's phantom, the "viper" who hides Juliet from his own toxic reputation. She plays the part of the shy rich girl, a fragile creature who hides behind her curls to escape the bullies. But in the humid darkness of her room, she knows him entirely. She has spent her adolescence cleaning his knuckles and wiping the blood from a face he keeps hidden from the world. She knows every shame and every desperate, frantic kiss he offers as a plea for mercy. Yet, her quiet love has become a self-made noose. To Joey, being loved by someone so pure is a terrifying weight. The sickening truth remains: the dirty thrill of the drugs is easier to face than the blinding clarity of her devotion. But before Joey can choose between the needle and the girl, the script is rewritten in blood. The terror strikes from within the Lovelace mansion when Juliet finds her sister cold and silent-a victim of the very corrosion she tried to keep Joey away from. Now, Juliet is a shattered ghost, and Joey realizes his salvation arrived too late. @luvrlu made this cover & all rights go to her.

He was the one boy who made her laugh like a lovesick girl and giggle like she hadn't known a single day of sorrow. For him, a light flickered in the darkness she carried, a brief, fragile flame that allowed her to shine just like her brother, all sharp wit and cruel charm. Poor boy. He had no clue that the girl he was falling for had a mouth full of sharp teeth and a hunger that would devour him whole. He didn't know the Gibson children eat people from the inside out, leaving nothing but a hollow shell. But who is to say he didn't mind it?

𝙊𝙋𝙃𝙀𝙇𝙄𝘼 𝙇𝙔𝙉𝘾𝙃'S fury was a storm that broke loose the second she saw her sister go down. Without a second thought, she mistook 𝙅𝙊𝙃𝙉𝙉𝙔 𝙆𝘼𝙑𝘼𝙉𝘼𝙂𝙃 for the culprit and decided he deserved a dose of his own medicine. Grabbing the rugby ball, she launched it back at him with a force that was all raw, righteous anger. Johnny saw her, and in that moment, the entire world outside of her seemed to fade away. He was a boy who lived and breathed the game, but her sheer intensity pulled his attention off the pitch. It wasn't her body he noticed first, but her eyes-the color of whiskey, sharp and defiant, framed by dark lashes that contrasted with the soft, rebellious pink in her hair. He noticed the way she swallowed hard, as if choking down words she couldn't dare to speak, and the way her jaw tightened before she unleashed a snarky remark at his best friend, Gibsie. He was captivated. But he knew, with a certainty that was both thrilling and terrifying, that girls like her came with a warning label. They were the ones who broke you and then laughed as you bled. Still, a dangerous instinct told him that to let her walk away would be a regret he'd carry forever. ♱ ᴏᴘʜᴇʟɪᴀ ʙʀɪᴅɢᴇᴛ ᴍᴜʀᴘʜʏ, ᴛʜᴇ ᴄʜɪʟᴅ ᴏꜰ ᴀ ʟᴏᴠᴇʟᴇꜱꜱ ᴀꜰꜰᴀɪʀ. ᴛʜᴇ ᴏɴᴇ ᴡʜᴏ ʜᴀꜱ ʙᴇᴇɴ ʙᴇᴀᴛᴇɴ ᴅᴏᴡɴ ᴀɴᴅ ɢᴜᴛᴛᴇᴅ ʙʏ ʜᴇʀ ᴏᴡɴ ꜰᴀᴍɪʟʏ. ᴛʜᴇ ʏᴏᴜɴɢ ɢɪʀʟ ᴡʜᴏ ʙᴇᴄᴀᴍᴇ ᴛʜᴇ ʀᴇᴀᴄᴛɪᴠᴇ ᴅᴏɢ. ꜱʜᴇ ʙɪᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴏᴡɴ! ꜱʜᴇ ᴇᴀᴛꜱ ʏᴏᴜʀ ʙʟᴏᴏᴅ! ʙᴜᴛ ꜱʜᴇ'ꜱ ꜱᴄᴀʀᴇᴅ, ᴄʀʏɪɴɢ ᴀɴᴅ ᴘʀᴀʏɪɴɢ ꜰᴏʀ ᴀ ᴡᴀʏ ᴏᴜᴛ! ♱
