Damian Al Ghul has been sent on a mission by his mother, Talia Al Ghul in order to prove his worth to her and his grandfather as a suitable heir to their family. Damian has been raised as an assassin but quickly realizes he doesn't want to become a killer. Whilst on his mission, he runs away and boards any transport he can find. He soon discovers he's stranded in Gotham City with nowhere to go, unaware he's caught the eye of Gotham's most fierce protector. *note*: this fanfiction doesn't follow everything canonically. Tim used to talk a lot. He used to love to talk. When did he stop talking? When had he become quiet? When did he stop feeling comfortable talking to Bruce and Dick? Tim Drake knew he wasn't the best Robin. He knew that. He knew Dick was more graceful, flexible, faster, made everything look easy. He knew Jason was stronger, more determined, brutal and fierce. Tim knew he wasn't like them....and yet...he wanted to be more like them. He would do anything to be more like the, Train, stop eating, he even gave up all the sleep he could just to be like them. To finally fill the boots of Robin that seemed far too big. No one notices as he burns himself dry until a motorcycle crash. "Why is everyone better than me?"

"All love is conditional" Damian says with dark eyes and a certainty that only reflected Bruce's own failure in himself. "Todd said it isn't but if that were true, you and Mother would love me without requiring me to change every day." Bruce felt his heart break as his own failure slapped him in the face. _________ Or! After Bruce says some hurtful things in anger, Damian runs away and Jason finds him and realizes the kid's twisted beliefs he's been forced to learn.

Tim had a lot of things to think about but first things first: He had to sneeze BAD. Second: He had a concussion and Dick was drugged and they had both been kidnapped. But he REALLY needed to sneeze. ////OR Tim Drake is 16 and sleep deprived on the wrong week when he as Robin and Dick as Nightwing are kidnapped and it's up to Tim's last two awake brain cells, and that neuron that ate Dick's crappy cooking when he was 13, to get them out of the pickle.
