Todd's Diary entry Sept 1st, 1959... He's as beautiful as the night sky. As beautiful when the clouds streak by the moonlight, but so fine a touch that they yet do not block nor hinder the beauty of the moon. He was my moon. But how do I tell him? How do I tell my roommate how much I love him? It could ruin everything. No, I-I couldn't-shouldn't...Won't... Oh, Neil...How I long to hear your laugh and read your smile forever and ever. I am to be attending Welton which was a hellhole that everyone agreed was a sort of punishment for themselves; a sort of anguish and angst that festered inside them to boil and spill over inside their guts. Life was torture. Life was pain. Life was suffering. Neil thought it so too, the boy I am to be introduced to as my new roommate, along with his other friends. He even saw it in me: the one who never says a word. The one who wound their clock and stared at it, seemingly amazed somehow that no matter how long that I stared at it, the ticking second hand would never stop. ***rated mature for themes of suicide.

What did I think about my life? It's cool, it's great, and I loved living in a tiny house with no air conditioning in London with my very sweet, very sarcastic cousin. Why would you ask? I mean, sure everyone kept saying, "1972 is your year, (Y/N)!" But I didn't believe it until recently. I had began to get these strange powers. I was a magical Crayon with the weird ability to change the color of anything I chose. I needed to figure out how to control it, or find someone who could teach me.
