I didn't understand them at first - why they walked together, how they seemed to know what each other was thinking, or why they stayed so close to each other. I wanted to be like them - part of something bigger, strong and brave. I was a tiny white tigress, scared and small, but my heart ached to understand this strange, golden world and the lions who lived in it.
