November of 1993, Will gets a phone call letting him know a beloved person from Hawkins and suddenly passed. Despite not wanting to return, Will returns to Hawkins for a week and crashes with Mike before the funeral. Together the two tackle the trauma, grief, and unspoken conversations from their childhood. They rekindle their friendship, and maybe even something more. Later they are joined by the rest of the gang, and the the party, all grown up now, finally takes time to heal the wounds they left open for far too long.

While escaping from some bullies in his College, he finds himself in his bestfriend Mike's room who's sleeping, and there's a girl near him. Will doesn't know her, and starts feeling a burning inside him. One evening when Carlton crossed the line, Will escaped to the only person who made him feel safe. From that evening, everything they thought about their friendship and about themselves changes. They end up doing things they never thought they would've, especially Will. And he needs to fix things beetween him and Carlton, that may not be easy to fix as much as Will tought.
