In a world devastated by a zombie outbreak, Eli, a Filipino exchange student stranded in South Korea, struggles to survive alone. Before the world fell apart, he fell deeply in love with Mira (미라), a kind and artistic Korean girl who taught him about Korean culture from writing his name in Hangeul to celebrating Chuseok with her family. During that time, Mira gave him a handwritten note that said "사랑해" (I love you) and a small love lock engraved with both their names, which they placed at Namsan Tower a promise to never be apart. When the outbreak began, chaos separated them. Mira disappeared, and Eli was left alone in a foreign country, holding on only to her note and the memory of her smile.
