Oscar and Lando were never supposed to be anything but rivals. On the running track, they pushed each other to the limit, each trying to outdo the other, locked in a fierce competition that no one thought could ever change. But sometimes, rivalry gives way to something deeper-something neither of them expected. When Oscar's past threatens to unravel him, Lando's rivalry turns into something more: a relentless need to protect him, to care for him in ways he never thought possible. But just as their rivalry shifts into uncharted territory, old wounds resurface, and their connection is tested in ways neither could have prepared for. As they navigate their complicated feelings, the lines blur between friends, rivals, and something more. Together, they'll have to figure out if their love can survive the shadows of the past and the tension of their competitive nature, or if their enemies will always be a part of their story.

Landoscar fanfiction Childhood friends to Enemies/Rivals to Lovers Slow burn *I do not intend to steal anyone's work. If it sounds similar to another fanfiction, do let me know; I promise it is not intentional.* There is a more thorough explanation of the story, trigger warnings, maturity level, tropes, ships and more in the Introduction. ------- "I hate him. He hates me. We hate each other; the feeling is mutual. But it wasn't always this way...it used to be lighter...easier...more carefree...until That Day. The day that shattered everything. The day we admitted there was more between us than just friendship. The day that ruined it all." ------- Oscar Piastri had always looked up to Lando Norris in more ways than one. They had met one day, at karting, and were attached at the hip after that. Then something happened between the two boys, something no one could figure out or persuade out of them. On That Day, they stopped being friends, and it was implied they were now rivals, enemies. They were meant to conquer the racing world together. They were meant to be each other's rock. But they're not. And the world is watching them clash, on the track and off. They both don't know how to fix what has been broken so many years ago, and they're both too stubborn to try. They're each trying to fill the void the other person left, with someone else, but as they both know deep down, it will never happen. ---------- This story is about friendship running deeper, much deeper than they both wish to admit, stolen glances, touches that should be innocent, trying to replace someone that can't be replaced, missed opportunities and silence that seems unbreakable.

Lando Norris isn't dying. That's what he keeps telling himself. He's just-tired. Too tired. The kind of tired that makes your hands tremble when you paint, that makes your world fade to white under fluorescent light. When he collapses in the middle of the street, it should've just been another headline: Campus art boy passes out, again. But that day, someone caught him-literally. A photography major with shaking hands and a camera still strapped to his neck. Oscar Piastri didn't mean to care. But he did. They meet again, the sunlight from the tall panes framed him in soft gold-Lando slumped over a desk, heartbeat uneven, breath too shallow. Oscar's voice cuts through the silence. "Sleep well." And somehow, Lando listens. He shouldn't feel anything. Not this warmth blooming in his chest. Not this quiet safety whenever Oscar looks at him like he's not fragile. "Why do you keep helping me?" Lando asks one day, voice cracking between guilt and hope. Oscar shrugs, eyes soft. "Because you keep falling." Then there's George-best friend, chaos incarnate-who would fight the whole hospital if he could. Feeling Max's quiet stare on him, George yanks Lando up to use him as a shield. "What?! You wanna fight, huh?!" His little fists tremble inside his cardigan sleeves. Max doesn't even blink. "Try me," the doctor deadpans, flipping a chart. Between sleepless nights, half-drunk cups of coffee, and the hum of a heart that beats too fast for its own good, Lando begins to draw again. And maybe-just maybe-he's learning how to live again, too. Because this time, when Oscar offers his hand, Lando doesn't pull away. a slow heartbeat turning into melody. a story about falling, again and again, and choosing to stay.

In the world of Formula 1, everything moves at a blistering speed-but for Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, it's the race off the track that tests them the most. Lando and Oscar have always been rivals. Teammates, yes, but friendly competition has always been at the heart of their relationship. What started as an easy camaraderie begins to shift into something far more complicated, something neither of them is prepared for. The first sparks of attraction fly during a late-night party in Monaco, their eyes meeting in a way that says more than words ever could. The chemistry is undeniable, but so are the stakes of their careers. As the season progresses, their connection only deepens, and with it comes the fear of what it might mean for both their futures in the sport. Lando, terrified of risking everything he's worked for, starts pulling away, trying to convince himself that their bond is nothing more than a fleeting distraction. Oscar, on the other hand, refuses to back down. He's tired of pretending, tired of running from something that feels too right to ignore. When a collision on the track mirrors the turmoil building between them, they are forced to confront the reality of what they're truly feeling-and whether love in the fast lane is worth the risk of everything they've built. As they navigate the tension of unspoken words, broken trust, and a growing desire, Lando and Oscar must decide: is their bond a fleeting moment in the fast-paced world of F1, or is it something worth fighting for? In the race of their lives, there are no guarantees-but maybe, just maybe, there's more to life than the finish line.
