Ivar the boneless love story

Ragnar, his wife and their sons Ivar and Hvitserk travel to the kingdom of Myrhult in Sweden to form an alliance with King Valtar, and celebrate the marriage of Ivar and Valtar's daughter Rùna. Since both were blessedby the gods in their individual ways, Ragnar and Valtar see their union as a good sign, only Rùna does not agree, and her condition gives her enough reason for mistrust.

Ivar the Boneless is the crippled boy that nobody believes in. He was born with this condition that caused him to crawl around on the ground. There is only one person who really believed in Ivar and even loved him. Kai Cloud. A girl born not of royalty but taken in by Princess Aslaug after a prophecy revealed that she will marry one of the brothers and produce many great warrior children. But Kai has her eyes on only one Lothbrok. Ivar.

When Torhild returns home after a two year long training as shieldmaiden she finds out that everything is changed. Not only is her mother queen of Kattegat, also the whole village growed. Some friends are dead, others not around. But their are always Ragnarsons and especially Ivar needs some extra attention, what only brings them both more together.

Ivar meetings a charming woman on the beach. Camila is a free woman with nothing to live for, but she knows what she wants when she sees Ivar. He thinks she's a witch, but really, she's just as broken as he is. She's a gift, he just doesn't know it ... "I used to think I was a God.
