Immediately after he was sure it was gone, he darted from the rock, bolting toward the ring in the middle of the heights. His veins pumped with blood, his nerves sharpened with freight, his chest heaving painfully. His breath hitched with his halting feet, an irritable squeak against the ground where his shoes stopped. His shoulders pushed up and down in beat with his weary lungs, his pupils small at the sight next to his feet.
