The Earth was forever changed by a plague that ravaged the global population. As the death toll climbed, world leaders were forced into unprecedented cooperation, funding a massive scientific initiative to engineer a cure. Laboratories collaborated with elite technology professionals, merging biology and machine to establish a high-tech 'new normal.' However, as this post-apocalyptic society emerged, so did a violent revolution. Many traditionalists, enraged by the forced modernization of the world, rose up to challenge the government. In the shadows, extremist cults and assassin groups began to fester. The turning point came when a devastating bombing struck the heart of the capital. Recognizing the existential threat, the government investigated the tragedy and traced it back to a radical cult. In response, they formed a unit of five shadow assassins-the 'Shadow Five: Project X'-tasked with eliminating the cult members. Some were recruited for their skills, others were coerced, and some were forced into service simply to survive. There was only one way to leave the team: death. Peace was maintained as long as this group protected the world from the silence of the shadows. But during a final mission to eliminate the last remaining cult clan, the entire team vanished without a trace. Now, the government has been forced to select and move a new generation into training. A group of teenagers now finds themselves bound together in this lethal legacy. For them, every mission is a matter of life and death.
