She hardly even knows the other tribute from her District. Yet, when she meets the District 11 female tribute, she can't resist allying. But the cost is that she could never imagine killing her friend.

This is about Snow Whisper, a wolf in the Pack of Winter. She lives on the tallest and coldest mountain in a small cluster of eight mountains. The other seven are ruled by different packs, each having a mountain suited to their needs. But when a wild fire destroys six other mountains, the other packs fight the remaining two: the Pack of Faith and the Pack of Winter. The Pack of Winter is driven out of their mountain home, and Snow Whisper and her siblings are lost, they wonder if they can make it back, if they will be lost forever, if they will join another pack, and the most important: will they survive?
