(Book 4) After a year of sleeping and getting her memories back, Hikari continues her journey with Sora, Donald and Goofy to search for Riku and King Mickey as they go face to face with Organization XIII and their leader, Xemnas. They also face the resurrected Maleficent and her second-in-command, Pete. However... Hikari discovers that few of her family members survived the fire a long time ago, thanks to her certain childhood friend. The scenes contain spoilers from KH2. Time is of the essence. Every minute wasted by the light is another gained by the darkness. There are wielders who must be founded and reawakened and worlds that must be sealed away from the darkness. Not only that, but our ragtag team of heroes must train vigorously in order to even fight the forces of darkness. Our band of heroes must join together once more with wielders of the past, present, and future in order to combat Xehanort and his plans, but this is a war. Deaths will occur. Hearts will be broken. Sacrifices will be made. Who will live to see the light of day and who will succumb to the dark depths of death?

There is only one thing standing between Sora's slumber and awakening; Roxas. Sakura leads him to his tragic end and is reunited with Sora as payment. However, this isn't a time to celebrate-Organization XIII is on the rise and they are getting closer and closer in achieving their goal of obtaining Kingdom Hearts for themselves, which Sora and Sakura must stop together. As the two head out on another journey while along the way, Sora looks for clues to the whereabouts of Riku and Kairi, which Sakura knows the answers to, but knows that she cannot tell as she made made promise to her dearly beloved not to until the time is right.

When a mysterious storm comes across on Destiny Islands separating, Sora, Riku, Kairi and Maya. Sora and Maya are reunited in an other world. Teaming up with Donald and Goofy the quadruple must find their missing friends and their lost king before darkness takes over the world. Maya is a mysterious girl that washed on the shores of Destiny Islands the same day Kairi did. Little did they know that Maya would hold secrets of her own. Sora and his companions have been asleep for about a year, regaining their memories. When Sora awakens, he eventually arrives in Twilight Town, the place where a mysterious boy, Roxas lived before he suddenly left.

(Book 7) Hikari goes with Sora, Donald and Goofy to embark on a new journey to unlock her true power of the Princess of Kingdom Hearts and help Sora recover the power of waking. Elsewhere... Riku and King Mickey goes on their mission to rescue Aqua in the realm of darkness. On a new mission, Sora, Hikari, Riku, Donald, Goofy, King Mickey, Haya, Kairi and Lea must gather the Seven Guardians of Light to defeat Master Xehanort. They journey throughout worlds and cross paths with members of the real Organization XIII. Hikari learns about her parents' survival from Young Xehanort in Toy Box and faces the return of Vanitas in Monstropolis. Riku and King Mickey learns about the New Seven Hearts from Marluxia in Kingdom of Corona and Larxene in Arendelle. Lea recognizes Luxord in The Caribbean and Kairi thinks that Riku Replica in San Fransokyo is Riku from the past. Soon... after returning to the realm of light and no longer a vessel due to the real Organization XIII having another ally in their ranks, Aqua and Terra, with the help of Sora, Hikari, Riku, King Mickey, Donald and Goofy, must save Ventus from Vanitas. Soon after Ventus was awake, thanks to Sora's power of waking, the Seven Guardians of Light are completed and ready to face Master Xehanort and the real Organization XIII at the Keyblade Graveyard. Next stories continue as Hikari travels back in time to rescue her mother in ReMind and Sora, Hiromi and Riku's clues to search for Hikari in Melody of Memory.
