In the endless depths beneath a fallen kingdom, a pale egg cracks open. From it emerges The Hollow, a being born of the void, neither truly alive nor dead, created for a purpose he cannot name. His mask is fractured, his cape torn, and inside himself lies nothing but silence. He feels no warmth, no joy, no fear-only the weight of an emptiness too vast to bear. He is hollow, and yet, he walks.
In a world of shadows, where echoes of ancient gods still stir and the Infection gnaws at the last remnants of life, The Hollow searches for meaning. He knows only pain, though he does not feel it as others do. His body remembers the ache of battle, his spirit remembers the weight of loss, but his heart is void. His journey begins in solitude, each step a reminder that he was not made to live, but to endure.
Yet fate twists even in the darkest places. From the silence emerges a voice-fragile, curious, and strangely bright. A tiny traveler, similar in form yet impossibly different, introduces himself as The Willow. Unlike The Hollow, Willow feels deeply. He laughs, questions, and sees wonder even in ruins. Where The Hollow carries the burden of emptiness, Willow carries the spark of hope. Together, their paths intertwine, a fragile bond forming in the ruins of Hallownest.
But in this kingdom of sorrow, even friendship is a fragile flame. The Hollow is a vessel shaped by despair, and Willow's heart may yet learn the cost of standing beside him. As they descend into forgotten cities, haunted caverns, and the infection's spreading horror, they will confront truths older than memory.
This is a tale of silence and song, of pain and fleeting joy, of the hollow who could not feel and the fragile soul who dared to. A journey not toward salvation, but toward understanding what it means to be empty... and what it means to be more.
