[This story takes place 8 months after season 4] Mike has always been in denial about his feelings towards Will. He had pushed him away multiple times because of this denial but now Will and his family is back in Hawkins. Will has been a wreck this past eight months of being back in Hawkins. He couldn't help but feel anxious about the situation at hand. He could feel Vecna regenerating and he was afraid, terrified. He was trying to play it off cool but he just couldn't. One night Will wakes up from a nightmare seeing and feeling Vecna and he doesn't want to be anywhere but back in Michael's room sleeping with him like when they were little. Because of Hawkins destruction and the "gates of hell" many people moved out of it. Hawkins is slowly being crept up upon by the upside down which is now making it's way into reality because of Vecna and there's only one way to stop it and Will knows it. the year is 1986 and the byers have moved to california while the rest of the crew remains in hawkins. max and mike travel to california to visit el and will. the friends spend time catching up and showing the crew around. after, mike, will, argyle, and jonathan decide to take a road-trip down to hawkins to see the rest of the crew. leaving max and el alone with joyce and hopper. but what will happen when mike and will are alone in a car together for 3 days? (also side note - hopper was never taken by the russians in this fic and moved to california with joyce and the kids!)
