The barrier is finally broken, and at last all of monsterkind are free to walk on the surface. Again. Sans the Skeleton is skeptical. Why bother getting excited for something that's just going to reset? This is not the first time the barrier is broken, and probably not the last. He feels the need to take a break for everyone else's enthusiasm and wanders to the ruins where he encounters a ghost of his past. The result of that meeting is something he has been hiding for a long time and that he's determined to keep hidden.

What started out as a short story quickly evolved into something more, my biggest project thus far. Undertale always had a special place in my heart ever since entering the fandom in the year 2020. Through the years I've experienced many things, but Undertale was always there to support me through the struggles of life, being something I could lean back on. Undertale Icebound was one of the many takes of Undertale which I came to enjoy, and I want to thank the creators of Icebound, @LuciiiDLL and @__b for creating something unique and entertaining. They were the inspiration behind this story, and I wouldn't have been motivated to make my own take on their story if it wasn't for them. I also want to thank my friends for supporting me and looking through the rough draft of the story as it went through rough edits! And thanks to you as the reader, for taking the time to either skim, or look through this, I probably caught your interest in some way. Sorry for the yap.

After a year of living on the surface, monsters and humans have gotten along well, with (mostly) everyone adjusting to the many changes without much trouble. However, events take a strange turn when Sans and Papyrus--both of whom have been acting unlike themselves--go missing, supposedly without a trace. In their place are two monsters who go by the names of Wingdings and Aster, twins, claiming to be the lost Royal Scientist. Everyone is thrown for a loop, especially as nobody remembers a Wingdings or Aster--or, as they claim to be, "Dr. Gaster"--nor do they remember a Royal Scientist before Alphys. And with Sans and Papyrus missing, things don't look good for either of the boys. As their friends search for the missing skeletons, Wingdings and Aster work together to uncover what's happened while they were gone, as well as what might've caused everyone to forget them in the first place. But, trouble lurks within the shadows, as the Void closes in on them once again--refusing to let go of what belongs to it. And unfortunately, the Void is not the only thing after the boys' lives.

Alex never believed in an afterlife, never thought death had rules or enforcers. But her world is shattered when a reckless driver sends her skidding into fate's grip. She wakes up in the hospital, dazed and aching, only to see Isaac looming in the shadows. He was there, watching, deciding, and when he realizes she's not dead yet, he does something reckless; he waits.

The world is trapped in a loop, where nothing is progressing. Side effects tend to build up. The reality so harsh, that it could drive some people to insanity; drive one to shut down completely. Only a conscious so illogical can force Sans to have the strength, and resilience enough to bare through it all. Even when time itself is at odds with your mental stability. (Warning for the blood and innards all over the floor)
